ABOUT ABOUT

When Alcatraz closed it's doors in 1963, everyone assumed that the inmates were transferred to other incarceration facilities. And, for the most part, they were right. But some inmates, the most demented ones, were deemed totally unfit for human interaction. These inmates were detained by the U.S. government to test a genetic modification injection, with the hopes of uncovering the means to create an invincible, immortal super soldier. Unfortunately, something went wrong. They succeeded in achieving immortality, but the inmates were depraved, bloodthirsty, and had an insatiable and inhuman desire to kill. The project was suspended. Unable to destroy their new creation, the government hid them away deep in the mountains outside Redding. Over the years, they have kept these "zombies" satisfied by supplying them with prey. At first, area wildlife sufficed. But eventually they had to move on to human prey. The government explained the disappearances of campers and loggers by publicizing them as "accidents". The heavily guarded, secret prison containing these monsters was successfully secure for years. Then, during the recent fires, the government facility housing the zombies had to be abandoned. They hoped the prison would remain secure until guards could return. But the zombies escaped. They created a nest at Shasta Caverns, where they have been turning some local residents into zombies, while feeding on others. One hunting party of zombies was caught at Hawes Farms in Anderson. They are contained there, awaiting extermination. Government geneticists have recently finished a serum which will aid in eliminating the zombie population. Local residents are being allowed to come out to both locations and join in the fight to eradicate the zombie population, before they take over!
